Bruges Head Race

Saturday 2 - Sunday 3 March 2019:

Our first ever continental headrace was a resounding success, with great race times achieved.

The A boat, completed the 5km course in 19:07.25 and the B boat did it in 20:58.02.

We of course sampled the local beer and Raleigh Otter was the star of the show in the reception hosted by the Lord Mayor of Bruges in the Town Hall following the races. We will be looking to enter again next year and a huge thank you to everyone who helped organise, especially Senior Captain Brian for entering us and Club Captain Matt for trailering the boats all the way across the English Channel.
